Matariki language week.

Last week on monday we had to split to two groups some of us want to room 10 and some of the room 10 people want to our class we did some cooking we was cooking matariki broad miss keys was cooking it after we finished cooking we ate the broads after that we swapped with the other group we had to pack a buddy from room 10 to make a matariki stars.On Tuesday and Wednesday we did some activities like the 5 powerful maori gods and we learnt that Matariki is a maori new year matariki is the seven stars in the olden days the maori people didn’t have the days of the month they look it the sky if the stars are shining that means is going the be winter and it mean that the maori people is going to have a nice year because is easy for the maori people to get there food and to hunt and we did some other activities.On Thursday we made kits and on Friday we want to assembling it the hall some class’s was show us there learning about matariki Dylan and Tulei from my class was doing a speech about the 5 powerful gods and then we want to fly our kits but it wasn't windy so our kits didn’t fly.
